John Baker

M. John Baker is an Architect currently practicing in St. Maarten. He obtained his degree from Oxford Polytechnic, U.K. in 1971 and completed his professional registration in the UK in 1972. He is also a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Mr. Baker has been working in the Caribbean region since 1977, initially as the manager of Onions Bouchard & McCulloch in Tortola, B.V.I. until 1980. From 1980 until 1991, he worked with the same company's St. Maarten office, where he held the position of Director and Vice President of their group of six Caribbean offices.
In 1992, he established his own architectural company, IXI Design N.V., in St. Maarten. Since then, Mr. Baker has been involved in architectural work and property appraisals throughout St. Maarten and the northeastern Caribbean islands, including the British Virgin Islands, Saba, Statia, Anguilla, St. Barths, St. Kitts, and Antigua.
